Ladies and Gentlemen,

Here it is the end of May and I have not been able to write an opening letter to you. I apology for this error. I have been involved with a personal matter that has taken me away from most of my outside activities since the beginning of the year. An on top of it my business just went gang busters.

I want to thank Gary Labb our immediate past president for filling in and taking charge of communicating what is happening in the Western Regional Chapter of IAATI.

It is extremely important to keep the lines of communication open. It’s important for us to be able to talk to one another, either on a social level or on a business level. I recommend that you use your resource here in the Western Region as well as your own local chapters.

And above all use the resource available to you from the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators.

The Western Regional Chapter’s membership is holding well with members renewing their memberships. If you know of some one who has not renewing or feels the need not to renew talk to them and support them in making the decision to renew.

Training continues in the Western Region –WSATI Hawaii Chapter just finished a 2-day seminar on Auto theft Investigation.

NICB/AATIA just completed one day training on Heavy equipment May 27, 2008

WSATI Oregon Trail Chapter is holding a 3-Day Auto Theft Class August 13-15, 2008

CATI is holding their 35th Rocky Mountain Vehicle Crimes Training Seminar September 16-18, 2008

WSATI is holding their 37th Annual Training Seminar September 28 - October 1, 2008, during this seminar we will be holding our annual Chapter meeting and election of officers for the 2009 calendar year. Please try and attended and support your Chapter.

Also during this Seminar we will be presenting the Lee Cole Award. So if you know of someone deserving this award. You can go to the chapter web site and see the requirements for the award. I believe we will start accepting the nominations starting June 30 closing July 31, 2008.

In closing I believe Gary in his May 4, 2008 message brought everyone up to date on what’s happening. Again thanks Gary for your hard work.
